Executive Director Ixela Gutierrez has been invited to perform at the White House for President George W. Bush in 2003 and 2004.
Mexico Vivo celebrates the colorful traditions of folkloric dancing, music, theatre, historic costuming, pageantry and ritual celebrations of Mexico and Latin America.

Mexico Vivo Dance Company is renowned for its talent and creativity, as well as for its wide range of repertoire - also offers a broad training program of individual and group classes, guest artist residencies, summer camps and master classes geared expressly to children, teens and adults.
In 2004, Executive Director Ixela Gutierrez and Mexico Vivo organized and produced the Las Vegas
World Folk Festival, which attracts more than 1,000 folk artists from Mexico, Latin America, Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States each year.
Since then, the festival has become a major attraction in July, drawing crowds of over 10,000 people to performances, competitions and workshops spanning a one-week period.

As a professional and touring dance company, Mexico Vivo has debuted more than 30 full-scale productions at the Winchester Theatre, its home venue in Las Vegas.
